Sharing With Your Community

Happy Wednesday Zero Waste friends! I hope your day is much sunnier than mine. Luckily we had a nice sunny day last week to pick some of our silverbeet from our veggie patch to take to our local community stand.

Do you have a community stand in your neighbourhood? A community stand is a place where everyone in the community can share their fresh produce and other food items. It is wonderful for helping everyone in the community save money, to stop your abundant crop from going to waste because you simply can't eat everything, or just to have access to some beautiful fresh home grown produce! If you don't have one in your community, maybe you could start one?

Master 4 and I picked a whole lot of silverbeet from our garden, which was growing like a weed, and took it over to our community stand. We returned home with fresh Tahitian limes, lemons and a sweet pea plant!

Do you have a community stand in your community? Or are you planning to start one?
